Version 1.1.5 — February 2026

Browser push notifications, real-time attacks and various fixes.

  • Browser push notifications — A push notification system has been integrated into the game. Receive alerts directly in your browser when you're not on the game tab. Notifications cover important events and are not sent when you're actively playing.
  • Real-time attacks — Players now see in real time when their ship is attacked. Combat events are immediately notified to the defender, offering better reactivity.
  • Various fixes — Minor bug fixes and various adjustments to improve stability and gameplay experience.

Version 1.1.4 — February 2026

New logo, weapons reworked into warships, combat mode evolution, lore update and various fixes.

  • New logo — The HexaGalaxy logo has been entirely redesigned with a modern look. The title visual identity has been harmonized across the entire site.
  • Warships — Ship weapons have been entirely replaced by a warship system. Five classes are now available: Fighters, Corvettes, Frigates, Cruisers and Dreadnoughts, each with their own characteristics.
  • Combat mode evolution — The combat animation has been redesigned to reflect the player's fleet. Each warship class appears with its own sprite and unit counter. Losses are distributed progressively with dedicated explosions.
  • Lore update — The universe presentation page has been enriched with new lore offering a deeper immersion into the history of HexaGalaxy.
  • Various fixes — Minor bug fixes and adjustments to improve stability and gameplay experience.

Version 1.1.3 — February 2026

Global chat on PC, referral OAuth fixes, invitation email and visual redesign of front pages.

  • Global chat on PC — The global chat is now accessible and visible directly on the PC version of the game.
  • Referral OAuth fix — Referral codes are now correctly applied when signing up via Google or Discord.
  • Referral email — Invite your friends to join HexaGalaxy directly by email.
  • Visual redesign — The front-end pages have been visually redesigned for a more modern and consistent experience.

Player language flags, multilingual universes and various optimizations.

  • Language flag — Each player displays a flag representing their language, visible on their in-game profile.
  • Multilingual universes — Universes can be linked to one or more languages to help group players together.
  • Language filtering — Players see universes matching their language first.
  • Bug fixes and optimizations — Various bug fixes and performance improvements.

Version 1.1.1 — February 2026

New daily and weekly quest system, and Google and Discord login.

  • Daily quests — 3 randomly generated quests per day: colonize, fight, explore, buy or upgrade equipment.
  • Weekly quests — 5 quests per week with more ambitious goals and higher rewards.
  • Rewards — Each quest offers Quantium and/or Fuel to claim manually.
  • Real-time progress — The progress bar updates instantly and a notification appears as soon as a quest is completed.
  • Google login — Sign in or register in one click with your Google account.
  • Discord login — Sign in or register in one click with your Discord account.
  • Automatic linking — If your OAuth email matches an existing account, it is automatically linked.
  • Simplified registration — OAuth accounts do not require a password; only a username is needed.

Version 1.1.0 — February 2026

Complete map overhaul with a real 2D rendering engine (PixiJS), hexagonal grid and sound ambiance.

  • PixiJS rendering engine — The map is now rendered via a GPU-accelerated 2D engine (WebGL/WebGPU) for optimal performance.
  • Hexagonal grid — Switched from a square grid to a hexagonal grid: more natural movement with 6 directions and adapted A* pathfinding.
  • Dynamic space background — Animated star field with parallax effect and nebulae for enhanced immersion.
  • Smooth movement — Smoothstep animations between each tile, dynamic ship rotation and real-time interpolation of enemy players.
  • Improved camera — Smooth mouse wheel zoom, full touch support (drag & pinch-to-zoom) and tile click navigation.
  • Multi-tile suns — Massive celestial objects serving as natural obstacles on the map.
  • Ambient music — A space music loops in the background.
  • Sound effects — Purchase, upgrade, notification and laser fire sounds during combat.
  • Launch screen — New PLAY button with logo, random game tip and version number.

Version 1.0.5 — February 2026

Complete visual overhaul of the game and new immersive combat animation.

  • Visual overhaul — New design for the in-game interface: panels, menus and buttons entirely redesigned.
  • New planets — Planet visuals reworked with more detailed textures and effects.
  • New ships — Ship models redesigned for a more modern look.
  • Animated combat scene — Every battle triggers a cinematic with laser fire exchanges, explosions and particle effects in a space setting.
  • Combat interface — Health bars, combatant names and damage displayed in real time during the animation.
  • Dynamic duration — The animation adapts to the battle intensity: quick against a weak opponent, epic against a powerful enemy.
  • SKIP button — Skip the animation at any time to jump straight to the result.
  • Various fixes — Bug fixes and graphical adjustments.

Version 1.0.4 — February 2026

New diplomacy system between players.

  • Diplomatic relations — Three types of relations: neutral (grey), war (red) and peace (blue). Ships change color based on your relationship.
  • Declare war — Declare war via the Diplomacy menu or automatically by attacking a player.
  • Propose peace — Send a peace request to an enemy. If they accept, hostilities cease on both sides for a minimum of 24 hours.
  • Diplomacy menu — New dedicated menu to manage your relations, peace requests and alliances.
  • Various fixes — Bug fixes and graphical adjustments.

Version 1.0.3 — February 2026

Combat balancing and new player profile card.

  • Less random victories — If you have 90%+ win chance, you automatically win. Less than 10%? Guaranteed defeat. No more frustrating surprises!
  • Combat fatigue — Chaining attacks tires your crew (up to -15% power). Take time to plan your assaults.
  • Smart losses — When defeated, your weakest units fall first. Your advanced technologies are better protected.
  • Player profile card — Click on a player in the ranking to see their full profile: stats, planets, win rate and protection status.
  • Various fixes — Bug fixes and graphical adjustments.

  • Release a planet — Free a planet from your empire via a new button in the planet panel.
  • Improved sponsorship table — Clear distinction between sponsor and referral rewards.
  • Planet sorting — Sort your planets by Quantium income or defense level in the Empire tab.
  • Online presence indicator — Green dot next to connected players' names on the map and in the combat panel.
  • Combat loot — Earn Quantium by winning battles! Rewards scale with the defeated enemy's power.
